This “Contribution to the Society” Award recognises Mr Ghanim M Al-Naimi for his contribution to talent management, strategy and planning. 

Qatar Foundation is unique in terms of its multifarious activities - Education, Community support & development, Science, Research, , being facilitated through as many as 19 different centers and employing a multicultural work force consisting of Arabs, Asians, Europeans, westerners, Africans that supports it. 

Bringing about a change in the right direction was by no means an ordinary task. Ghanim Mubarak al Naimi, armed with his five years of HR experience, his foresight, innovative thinking, excellent understanding of people’s psyche and above par Managerial skills set about his task in a most professional way, by successfully implementing the following. 

1. Learning and Development Policies and procedures
2. A competency Frame Work for Qatar Foundation 
3. Driving alignment of all HR initiatives to the identified Competencies 
4. Automation of Learning and Development related initiatives 
5. Creation of a serious of team building events

Qatar Foundation though in existence for nearly 14 years, the training and development efforts were only limited towards providing identified technical training until 2008. The alignment of the training efforts to achieve aspirations of QF, the implementing of world class performance evaluation methodology and streamlining the learning and development function was a major accomplishment. Ghanim Al Naimi’s contribution to Qatar Foundation ia an exceptional one and Qatar Foundation’s contribution to people building is without parallel.
