The “Lifetime Contribution” award recognises Shri N. Srinivasan for his outstanding contribution to developingtalent. 

Shri N.Srinivasan, a highly successful industrialist, is the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of The India Cements Ltd., a major Corporate entity in South India, with a turnover of more than Rs.4, 100 Crores (approximately USD 1 billion). 

A chemical engineer with a B.Sc. (Tech) from Madras University, an M.Sc. from the University of Chicago and a post-graduate qualification in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, he has shown tremendous passion for people development.

He has demonstrated incredible leadership skills to motivate and inspire his employees to take India Cements to a leadership position in India. He always has been seen as very efficient, methodical with a serious work ethic and an ability to implement flawlessly.

Widely recognised in India as the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the apex Cricketing Body in India, a country where Cricket is a national passion. With his rise through the BCCI, Shri N. Srinivasan had became one of the most influential cricket administrators and people developers both in India and the world. He has a huge impact and influence on the youth as he aspires to direct their energy into sports and development.

He has also been keenly involved in the new-age Twenty20 tournament that has changed the face of cricket, its calendar and its economy. His global vision, with sports as the key to promoting the language of unity and his intense commitment to introducing structure and development into the sport has led to innovation and development

His efficiency as an administrator and his visionary thinking has elevated Srinivasan to the highest office of the nation’s premier sport. Under his stewardship Indian Cricket has gone from strength to strength with the pinnacle being the 2011 World Cup Victory and Number One Ranking in Test Cricket.

Srinivasan was the Sheriff of City of Madras for two terms. He is an active Member of the Prime Minister’s high profile Council of Trade and Industry. He is the President of the Tamil Nadu Golf Federation and was the past President of the All India Chess Federation.

He is a modest person who remains a great leader and ambassador for sports and people development.
