The Contribution to the HR Community Award recognises Mr. Hussain Ismail for his work in promoting the cause of learning at the workplace. 

Hussain Ismail is a remarkable Bahraini who has contributed significantly to the training and development world not just in Bahrain but also internationally. In Bahrain, he has achieved significant success in the training of Bahrainis in the banking sector. 

Hussain, currently the president of Bahrain Society for Human Resources Development and the President of Manama Rotary Club, continues to pioneer innovations and new tools in developing people. 

Hussain, besides receiving his MBA in General Management from the University of Durham, U.K. is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK. 

Hussain was a line manager with several years of experiences in various roles before assuming human resource positions. 

Currently the Deputy Director at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, his responsibilities include the promotion, development and direction of a planned programme of course offerings in professional education to meet the training and development needs of banks, financial institutions and other major organisations in the Kingdom of Bahrain and GCC.
