Contribution to HR Community

The Contribution to the HR Community Award recognises Dr. Goh for her determination to align people development to business results and to continuously strive to develop best practices in HR. 

Dr. Goh Ban Eng holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from Purdue University, USA and a Masters degree in Linguistics from the University of Leeds, UK. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a life member of Educational Research Association (ERA) Singapore. 

She is currently the Senior Manager of HR Development at Singapore Airlines, having held positions as Senior Manager, HR Learning and Management Development Centre, and also Cabin Crew Training. She has also clocked more than 30 years in the Singapore Education service with her job before joining SIA as Assistant Director of the Gifted Education Unit focusing on talent development of children. 

In HR, her interest and focus is on organisational talent management and leadership development for business competitiveness. Staff's core competencies are developed to meet challenges in the business environment through a variety of programmes utilizing technology and training facilitators who are leaders in their field. Inhouse facilitators and senior management are also developed and deployed to provide relevant institutional knowledge for building a learning organisation through regular sharing sessions and a commitment to service excellence.
